About the Black Pepper Oil

Black pepper contains limonene, pinene, myrcene, linalool, pinocarveol, alpha-termineol, fellandren, beta-caryophyllene, beta-bisabolene, sabinene, camphene and alpha-terpenene. It is also a rich source of magnesium, iron, potassium, calcium, beta-carotene, phosphorus, selenium, and vitamin K.

Black pepper, one of the strongest known antioxidants, has antimicrobial properties and protects the stomach and digestive system. Thanks to the active ingredient piperine, it is rich in compositions of essential oils, oleoresins and alkaloids.

Black pepper oil is used to help reduce symptoms of muscle injuries, tendonitis and rheumatism due to its warming, anti-inflammatory and antispasmodic benefits. Black pepper oil is used to help relieve constipation, diarrhea, and gas spasm. It has been observed that piperine exhibits dose-dependent antidiarrheal and antispasmodic activities in in vivo and in vitro studies. Piperine is also used for gastrointestinal disorders such as irritable bowel syndrome.

In a 2010 study at Michigan State University, black pepper oil and its components were shown to have anti-inflammatory, antioxidant and anticancer effects.

Note: It does not contain parabens, sulfates, SLES, SLS, synthetic fragrances, synthetic dyes and preservatives. It is eco-friendly, suitable for vegan use and not tested on animals. It is imperative to consult a medical doctor before using this oil for therapeutic purposes.
